DUSHANBE, December 4, 2013, Asia-Plus –Russian Government website reports that Russian Cabinet”s Commission on Legal Issues approved the bill on Ratifying Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on Cooperation in Fuel Export into the Republic of Tajikistan.


It is reported that the agreement between the governments of the Russia and Tajikistan on export of fuel is part of the document pact, which includes the agreement on Russian military presence and the agreement on labor migration.


As a whole, the pact is signed in order to strengthen the integration between Russia and Tajikistan.


According to Article 15, section 1, subsection A of the Federal Law on International Agreements of the Russian Federation, an agreement must be ratified. The bill will be reviewed during the Cabinet meeting.


The agreement is being implemented temporarily until full ratification, since November 2013.


First tariff-free fuel will arrive in Tajikistan in mid-December, and according to Gazpromneft – Tajikisan, one liter of gasoline will be less expensive to about 2 Samani. Tariffs for a ton of fuel cost 30-40 percent previously.
