DUSHANBE, December 20, Asia-Plus — An operation carried out by Dushanbe police officers has led to the seizure o a large amount of narcotics, the Interior Ministry’s office website reported on December 20.
The 26-year-old resident of Khatlon’s Hamadoni district, Mukhriddin Nasriddinov, was arrested on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking. 22.176 kilograms of heroin, some 13 kilograms and some nine kilograms of hashish were reportedly confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way, the source said.
