Former head of Tajik AIDS-prevention center appointed deputy health minister

DUSHANBE, January 6, Asia-Plus — The government has passed resolution shaking up officials in the Ministry of Health (MoH)

By government’s resolution former director of Tajikistan’s republican AIDS-prevention center Azamjon Mirzoyev was appointed deputy health minister and head sanitary physician.

Nusratullo Salimov, formerly director of the health project management unit, was appointed the first deputy health minister.

The government also passed a resolution reappointing Naim Haitboyev as deputy health minister.

A source at a MoH said that former head of the ministry’s department for sanitary-epidemiological supervision Murodali Ruziyev had been appointed to head the republican AIDS-prevention center.

Samariddin Aliyev retained his position of director of the national center for sanitary-epidemiological supervision.

The source added that another deputy health minister will be introduced to the ministry’s administration within the next few days.
