KULOB, August 6, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The Khatlon court for the Kulob region has sentenced the 44-year-old resident of the village of Garabdara in Khatlon’s Muminobod district Tourakhon Ishoqov to life imprisonment.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, representative of the Kulob prosecutor’s office Ghazalsho Mazoriyev who was prosecutor in the trial, said that Ishoqov had been charged with murder threat, preventing his minor relatives from getting main compulsory general education, non-fulfillment of obligations on education of minor, torture, and raping.  

According to him, Ishoqov was forcing two his minor relatives to have sex with him, systematically beating them and not allowing them to attend school.
