DUSHANBE, June 2, 2014, Asia-Plus /Avaz Yuldoshev/ — On Friday May 30, members of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) unanimously endorsed amendments proposed by the president to the country’s law on audit activity.
Speaking at the Majlisi Namoyandagon session, the first deputy head of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), Jamshed Yusufiyon, noted that the amendments had been worked out following recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF).
“Under these amendments, auditors must report dubious deals to the agencies combating money laundering,” the deputy head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Economics and Finance, Safarali Gulov noted.
