DUSHANBE, June 5, 2014, Asia-Plus – Issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union (EU), regional cooperation on use of water resources and environmental protection were discussed here yesterday at a meeting of Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov with visiting Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Mr. Struan Stevenson.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the results of elections to the European Parliament.

Aslov invited Struan Stevenson to participate in the regional conference on energy cooperation that will be organized by the OSCE Office in Tajikistan and the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan in Dushanbe on June 17 this year.
