DUSHANBE, June 11, 2014, Asia-Plus – During talks that took place in Dushanbe yesterday, Latvian President Andris Berzins invited his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon to visit Latvia at any convenient time for him.
President Emomali Rahmon accepted with much gratitude President Berzins’s invitation to visit Latvia. The terms of the visit will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
We will recall that the two sides yesterday signed several documents in Dushanbe, including an agreement on joint efforts to fight terrorism, organized crime, and drug trafficking, and another on joint cooperation in education, science, tourism, and border guarding.
