DUSHANBE, July 31, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday July 30, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met here with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed state and prospects of expansion of bilateral cooperation between their countries.

Tajik foreign minister reportedly drew attention of his Uzbek counterpart to the necessity of intensification of political dialogue and expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two counties in the fields of energy, culture, etc.

Aslov and Kamilov also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interests as well as the agenda of a meeting of the SCO foreign ministers that is being held here today.
