DUSHANBE, December 30, 2014, Asia-Plus – Next year Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is expected to address the parliament not in April but in January, a reliable source in the government told Asia-Plus today.  

“This year, President Emomali Rahmon will address a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament in January,” the source said, noting that the address was brought forward in connection with the parliamentary elections that will take place in the country in March next year.

Usually, in an address to the parliament, the president discusses the country’s priorities in domestic politics and foreign policy as well as the main economic challenges.
