DUSHANBE, June 12, Asia-Plus — Tajik movie entitled “Ishtiboh” (Mistake), shot by filmmaker Muhamamdrabi Ismoil at the Tajik independent TV channel, Simoi Mustaqili Tojikiston (SMT), will be shown in Kyrgyzstan’s region of Osh from June 15-20, the SMT director Zinatullo Ismoilov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, “Ishtiboh” was presented at movie theatre “Babour” in Osh in early June. “The movie was accepted by Kyrgyz audience very warmly and at request of viewers it was decided to shown it in Osh again,” the SMT director said, adding that a number of Kyrgyz TV channels offered them cooperation in creating joint programs.
In Dushanbe, “Ishtiboh” was presented on May 1.
It is already the second film made by SMT. The first movie, entitled “Benazir”, was presented in the Tajik capital last November.
The Dushanbe independent TV channel, Simoi Mustaqili Tojikiston (SMT), has worked since June 18, 2007, covering Dushanbe and nearby districts.
