DUSHANBE, April 20, 2015, Asia-Plus — According to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Secretariat, Tajikistan’s national budget for the first quarter of this year has stood at 2.8146 billion somoni, which was 95.6 percent of the adjusted target.

Over the first two months of this year, the national budget has reportedly stood at 1.907 billion somoni, which was 5 percent fewer than it was originally planned.

The budget expenditures over the same two-month period have stood at 1.7642 billion somoni, 346.4 million somoni more as compared to the same period of 2014.

In 2014, Tajikistan’s national budget stood at more than 13.3 billion somoni, which was 2.7 percent more than it was originally planned.

This year, the national budget is projected to stand at 15.278 billion somoni, which is 10 percent more than last year.

The limit size of the budget deficit for this year is projected to be equal to 0.5 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) – 264.1 million somoni, the Secretariat says.
