DUSHANBE, April 30, Asia-Plus  — Afghan national has been detained in Dushanbe with a large amount of heroin.

According to the Interior Ministry (MoI), officers from the MoI department for combating drug trafficking detained the 28-year-old Afghan citizen Muhammad Ibrohim in Dushanbe’s microrrayon 33 yesterday.  A bag containing narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing 8.5 kilograms was confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the Afghan national and an investigation is under way.
