Dushanbe. 26 August. “Asia Plus” — At an emergency meeting of the Political Council of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan, which took place on August 25 in Dushanbe, was discussed the closure of the party`s office in Dushanbe.
As said the source in the IRP, the first deputy leader of the party Saidumar Husaini said at a meeting that certain circles in the government want thus to create obstacles for the IRP annual congress preparations, scheduled for 15th of September.
IRP leader Muhiddin Kabiri, who almost lives half a year outside Tajikistan, took part in the emergency meeting of the party`s political council online.
He has noted that a number of checks that have been carried out by the various state authorities at the party`s office, were specially organized, but the party members are obliged not to violate the laws of the country.
“M. Kabiri stressed that the law abidance will never and nowhere assesses as a weakness. He asked his party colleagues to intensively prepare for the congress and asked the members of the political council to prepare and send an official letter to the Ministry of Justice about a temporary replacement of the IRP office, “- said a source in the IRP.
On August 24, the central office of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan, located on the capital street Borbad was sealed by the decision of Economic Court of the capital, on the basis of the submission of the Prosecutor General of the Republic.
Tajik Prosecutor General”s Office explains this action as an unresolved dispute about the legality of the building`s acquisition. Earlier this building belonged to the “Tijorat” company, from which the IRPT had bought it. Bailiffs, which have sealed the door of the IRP office, stated that the above-mentioned dispute should be resolved within 10 days.
In this building the IRP had intended to hold their next report-election conference on September 15, in which over 500 delegates and guests were invited to take part. IRP considers that the action of the authorities is aimed at the derangement of the Party Congress.
