DUSHANBE, October 15, 2015, Asia-Plus — Over the first nine months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power and natural gas, has amounted to 3.1588 billion U.S. dollars, which was 82 percent of the January-September 2014 level or 687.1 million USD fewer, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.   

Over the report period, the trade balance has been negative and amounted to 1.7916 billion U.S. dollars.

In January-September this year, exports of goods have amounted to 683.6 million U.S. dollars, 0.6 percent more than in the same period last.

Over the same nine-month period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to 2.4752 billion U.S. dollars, which was 21.8 percent fewer than in the same period last year.

In January-September, major trade partners of Tajikistan were:  Russia – more than 842 million USD; China – 529 million USD; Kazakhstan – 506 million USD; Turkey – 264 million USD; Switzerland – 225 million USD; and Iran – 130 million USD.
