DUSHANBE, April 16, Asia-Plus  – Closed joint-stock company Indigo-Somoncom has won the CIS Service Quality Award 2007, Asia-plus has learned from the Indigo-Somoncom director general Mamadjon Homidov. 

According to him, the certificate was handed over to the company at Russia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry on April 4.  

Indigo-Somoncom was selected as recipient for the CIS Quality Service Award in the category “Services with Staff of up to 250.” 

Somoncom launched service in 1999 in the northern Sughd province as the first GSM operator in Tajikistan.  It has the largest network coverage area in northern Tajikistan.  In addition to the regional capital of Khujand, Somoncom provides coverage to all major population centers, including the remote Panjakent district, as well as to mountainous areas along Tajikistan”s north-south highway.
