DUSHANBE, April 14, Asia-Plus — Agroinvestbonk and Tajikistan Development Bank (TDB) will represent Tajikistan at the Second Banking Forum of the CIS and East Europe Countries that will be held I Vienna, Austria from April 24-27.
According to Agroinvestbonk’s head office in Dushanbe, Ibodullo Saidmurodov, the deputy chairman of Agroinvestbonk’s board, will attend the forum. As far as TDB’s representative to attend to forum, he has not yet been determined.
The second Forum is aimed to focus on tendencies of development of financial markets and role of banking institutions of the CIS states, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as consolidating processes in the banking sector.
The first Banking Forum was held in June 2007. The Banking Forum serves forum as a platform of East-West cooperation in the banking and financial sector. Chairmen of the most important banks of the CIS states will meet again to renew their discussions on investment potential, economic cooperation between East and West and what the future has in store.
Vienna being the “Gateway to the East”, should launch this event, hosting prominent participants, and offering short cuts and orientation as well as facilitating decision making and providing new contacts and deepening already existing cooperation.
The Banking Forum is supported by the Administration of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Russian Banks, the Central Bank of Russia, as well as the Executive Committee of the CIS countries.
