KULOB, April 14, Asia-Plus  — Labs at the central district hospitals in Khatlon’s Farkhor and Temourmalik districts will make in-depth HIV testing again.

As it had been reported earlier (Asia-Plus Blitz materials of March 20, 2008), the labs at the central district hospitals in Farkhor and Temourmalik were prohibited from making in-depth HIV testing last month because of lack of elementary conditions of work in premises provided for them.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Kulob AIDS Center # 2 director Tohir Toumanov said that premises for labs at the Farkhor and Temourmalik hospitals had been repaired and provided with all necessary anti-infective agents.

Besides, physician from the Farkhor hospital has taken training course at the Kulob AIDS Center and he now works with the lab in Farkhor.  It has just remained to solve the issue related to confirming a staff for the lab at the Temourmalik hospital, Toumanov said.
