DUSHANBE, January 22, 2016, Asia-Plus – Forty-two countries of the world have provided nearly 45 million U.S. dollars worth of nearly 23,600 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in 2015, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Last year, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from Germany – 20.1 percent; China – 13.1 percent; Russia – 10.9 percent; the Netherlands – 8.7 percent; Denmark – 6.8 percent; the United States – 5.9 percent; Kazakhstan – 5.4 percent; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 4.3 percent; Austria – 4.0 percent; India – 3.0 percent; Latvia – 1.8 percent; France – 1.7 percent; Turkmenistan – 1.6 percent; Iran, Switzerland and Kyrgyzstan – 1.4 percent each; Kuwait – 1.1 percent; Norway – 0.7 percent each; and others.
