DUSHANBE, March 7, 2016, Asia-Plus — Representatives of foreign countries and international bodies in Tehran have planted trees in south of the Iranian capital to mark friendship and peace, according to the

In a ceremony that took place in Shahr-e Aftab Fair Ground in Tehran on March 7, Tajik ambassador to Iran together with his counterparts from Paraguay, Cuba, Thailand, Croatia, Germany, Algeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Ghana and Kazakhstan as well as representatives of the United Nations organizations residing in Tehran planted trees in the name of their respective countries.

They reportedly took part in a ceremony organized by Tehran Municipality to celebrate Tehran as a city of friendship.

Shahr-e Aftab Fair Ground with the area of 138 hectares is in the vicinity of Imam Khomeini Mausoleum in the south of Tehran.
