DUSHANBE, March 6, Asia-Plus  — The 14th session of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) that was held in Dushanbe on March 6 gave consent to the recall of deputy chief prosecutor and elected new judges at the Supreme Court of Tajikistan.

The session gave its consent to the president to relieve Sharif Rajabov of his post of Deputy Prosecutor-General for age reasons. 

By proposal of the president the session recalled judge at the Supreme Court Zafar Azizov and elected him deputy chairman of the Supreme Court. 

The session also recalled the Supreme Court’s judges Usmon Dodarbekov (voluntary termination of employment contract), Yusuf Salimov and Abdujabbor Sattorov (both in connection with transfer to other jobs). 

Besides, by president’s proposal powers of assessor in the Supreme Court Zayniddin Shaydulloyev were terminated ahead of time for actions discrediting justiceship.     

By presentation of the president Mahamdali Abdulhaqov, formerly first deputy head of the Khatlon regional court, and Ulughbek Mahmadshoyev, formerly judge with a district court in Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district, and Nabi Aliyev, formerly judge at a district court in Dushanbe’ Sino district, were elected judges at the Supreme Court.
