During his working visit to the northern Sughd province, President Emomali Rahmon has inaugurated two new social facilities in Khujand – Wedding Palace and Palace and Palace of Culture.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the facilities were officially opened on September 13.

While inaugurating the Wedding Palace, President Rahmon handed over marriage certificates to 25 new couples and birth certificates to parents of 25 newborn babies.

Besides, the president handed over keys for a new three-room apartment to Mutalibjon Nabiyev and Makhfirat Nabiyeva, the parents of newborn triplets.

Construction of this three-story building began in February this year and it was built in eight months, according to the source. 

A total cost of the Palace of Culture is 30 million somoni.  The building has the hall for holding concerts, conferences and meetings that can seat up to 700 people.  The dance ensemble “Zebo” is also place in the Palace of Culture.
