President Emomali Rahmon today morning departed for the southern Khatlon province on a working visit.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the purpose of the visit is for the president to get acquainted with living conditions of the population and achievements of local farmers.

Khuroson district was the first leg of president’s visit to the province. 

While in Khuroson district, Rahmon visited the Boboi Sayfiddin farming unit to get acquainted with cotton growing and the process of repeated harvesting and sowing of crops.  

The head of state also visited an exhibition of achievements of farmers of Khuroson district that was organized in the Sadriddin Ayni jamoat.  

While Rahmon was in Abdurahmon-Jomi district, he attended a ceremony of an official opening of a new building of School # 4.  Nearly 3 million somoni have been spent for construction of the new school building, the website said.
