DUSHANBE, October 23, Asia-Plus  — Capital mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev is dissatisfied with a low progress of work on regulating activities of economic entities in Dushanbe.

A meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office presided over by Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held on October 22.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the mayor had demanded at the meeting that the situation should be put right in the shortest time and set precise tasks to remove existing shortcomings.

The meeting also discussed issues related a progress of construction in and relocation of city-dwellers from areas that are used for state needs and the mayor pointed to the necessity of taking adequate measures to provide the relocated city-dwellers with housing, the spokesman said.  

            During the meeting it was noted that that in the future, all facilities being built under Dushanbe’s general plan will be constructed on a basis of tenders.  

The mayor also ordered to timely preparations to ensure the regular work of the city”s economy during autumn-winter 2007-2008.
