The board of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli) has decided to set up parliamentary friendship groups with Morocco and Slovakia.

A regular sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Board, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov, took place on May 7.   

The Board has adopted the decision on setting the Tajikistan/Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Tajikistan/Slovakia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Muhammadato Sulotnov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview. 

The aim of the parliamentary friendship groups is to foster even stronger relations between the countries and their elected representatives. 

The Board members also discussed amendments proposed to the country’s law on the economic management and biological production.  

Besides, they discussed changes and addenda proposed to the country’s laws on state registration of acts of civil status and poultry, Sultonov said.
