A resident of the Esanboy jamoat in the Roudaki district has been sentenced to a large fine for arbitrary seizure of land belonging to subsidiary farm of the Ministry of Defense.
The Dushanbe military court has sentenced Saidqul Joniqulov to a 50,000 somoni fine. The sentence followed his conviction on charges of arbitrary seizure of land and illegal housing (Article 338 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).
Joniqulov reportedly seized more than two hectares of land belonging to the Ministry of Defense and built a house on it.
