Over the first six months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan has amounted to 2.136.9 billion U.S. dollars, which was 103.8 percent of the January-June 2018 level or 77.3 million U.S. dollars more, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
The trade balance over the report period was negative and amounted to nearly 1 billion U.S. dollars.
In January-June, exports of goods have reportedly amounted to 570.6 million U.S. dollars.
Over the same period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to 1.566.3 billion U.S. dollars.
In January-June, Tajikistan has reportedly had trade relations with 100 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.
Over the same six-month period, the major trading partners of Tajikistan were Russia (the two-way trade between Tajikistan and Russia valued at more than 493 million US dollars over the report period), Kazakhstan (426 million U.S. dollars), China (290 million U.S. dollars), Turkey (191 million U.S. dollars), and Uzbekistan (167 million U.S. dollars).
