By president’s decree signed on November 1 the internal security department of the Prosecutor-General’s Office of Tajikistan has been liquidated.
Recall, the internal security departments have also been liquidated in the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan and the Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan “due to their inefficiency and corruption.”
The main functions of the internal security departments established at law enforcement agencies are in ensuring security of officers and their families as well as in examining all requests of individuals concerning violations committed by the staff of law enforcement agencies.
