President Emomali Rahmon yesterday held a meeting to review the results of the past year’s work and the plan of work of the government for the first half-year of 2020.  

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the plan includes 36 issues and 18 points of the national significance.  

Heads of ministries and agencies were reportedly ordered to take adequate measures to ensure the preparation and implementation of all events at a high organizational level.  

Besides, the government session heard a report of the Minister of Education and Science Nouriddin Said on the pace of the implementation of the national education development strategy designed for the period until 2020.  

The Minister of Finance Faiziddin Qahhorzoda reported on measures taken to ensure the implementation of the national budget for 2020, development of indicators of the national budget for 2021-2023 and the draft law on the national budget for 2021. 

The session participants also discussed the draft law on tourism, the draft law on amendments to the country’s law on privatization of state-owned property, as well as the concept of the digital economy of Tajikistan, the tax administration development program for 2020-2025, the national employment support program for 2020-2022 and some other issues.
