President orders to take additional steps to intensify anti-epidemic measures

Presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, a government session took place in Dushanbe yesterday, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Speaking at the meeting, the head of state reportedly ordered the Republican Commission for Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 to take additional steps to intensify anti-epidemic measures and improve the quality of health services.  

Rahmon also ordered the Republican Commission to adequately provide medical facilities with medicines and medical equipment.  

Khatlon governor Qurbon Hakimzoda reported on the construction process in the province.

More than 7,500 various facilities are planned to be built in Khatlon.  Construction and rehabilitation of more than 3,900 facilities have already been completed.  Construction of 320 of them has reportedly been financed by local entrepreneurs.

In 2018-2020, nearly 16,000 new jobs were created in Khatlon, Hakimzoda said.  

The Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, reported on the National Communication Program for the First 1000 Days of a Child’s Life designed for 2020-2024, and the Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Zarobiddin Faizullozoda, reported on the program of accelerated industrialization of the republic designed for 2020-2025, the Tajik president’s official website said.

Government members reportedly also discussed and endorsed a number of draft laws.
