flydubai, a government-owned budget airline in Dubai, operated a special flight on May 31 to repatriate 180 Tajik nationals, who have been stuck in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the new coronavirus crisis.

A plane of flydubai with 180 Tajik nationals on board landed at the Dushanbe airport at 6:30 pm on May 31, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Two Tajik national were reportedly not allowed on board after medical examination.

Recall, Tajikistan’s privately owned air carrier Somon Air operated a special flight on May 29 to repatriate 188 Tajik nationals stranded in Dubai. 

Tajikistan began bringing back its nationals from other countries on May 20.  Over the past several days, Tajik nationals have been brought back from various cities of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, the United States, India and the United Arab Emirates.   

flydubai is a government-owned budget airline in Dubai, with its head office and flight operations in Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport.  The airline operates a total of 95 destinations, serving the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe from Dubai.
