As part of his working trip to the northern province of Sughd, President Emomali Rahmon today visited the city of Istaravshan and the Devashtich (formerly Ghonchi) district, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

While in Istaravshan, Emomali Rahmon reportedly inaugurated two technological lines at the water bottling plant Obi Zulol.

These technological lines will produce soft drinks, juices, fruit nectars, and baby foods, says the Tajik president’s website.

Obi–Zulol is a fully operational bottled water and soft drinks producer located in northern Tajikistan, in proximity to Khujand.  The plant was built by SASIB Beverages in 1999-2000 and financed with participation of the EBRD and Aqua Crystal.

In the Devashtich district, the head of state visited the village of Dalyoni Poyon, where he attended an official opening ceremony of a new district hospital No 5, which is provided with the state-of-the-art medical equipment.

In the Dalyoni Poyon village, Emomali Rahmon also visited the Sherdil farming unit, where an exhibition of agricultural goods was organized.
