But those who have already recovered from the disease will be called up for military service.

Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan says that conscripts infected with coronavirus will not be called up for military service, but those who have already recovered from the disease are not exempt from military service.

«If the medical board finds out that the conscript is infected with the coronavirus, he will not be sent to the service. However, if the conscript has previously suffered this disease and is healthy during the draft, he is not exempt from military service», – said the responsible official of the defense department.

According to him, not a single case of COVID-19 infection has yet been identified among the soldiers of the country's Armed Forces.

Autumn conscription into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan begins today, October 1.
