DUSHANBE, April 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — The Dushanbe Russian Drama Theatre named after Vladimir Mayakovsky is representing Tajikistan at the 11th International Festival of Russian Theatres from the CIS States, Meetings in Russia, that kicked off in St. Petersburg on April 1.
According to the Mayakovsky Theatre, they will show the play “Confession” written by known Tajik stage director and playwright Barzou Abdurazzoqov.
During the eight-day festival, its participants are discussing the problems of Russian theatres and joint theatrical projects.
The third conference formally titled “Russian Theatre Abroad as Institution of Russian Culture” will be held on sidelines of the festival that runs through April 8, the source said.
