DUSHANBE, February 12, Asia-Plus — On the eve of the 28th anniversary the victory of the Islamic revolution (February 11), Iran’s National Day was celebrated in a special ceremony held by Iran’s Embassy in Dushanbe on Friday, February 9.  

Tajik parliament deputies, chiefs of diplomatic missions accredited in Tajikistan, heads of political parties as a well as cultural characters, researchers and journalists attended the ceremony.

            During the ceremony, Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ahmad Ajalluiyan felicitated the victory anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran and called the revolution as a symbol of freedom and dignity of the Iranian nation.  “As a result of the Islamic Revolution that was held 28 years ago, guided by Imam Khomeini Iranian people overthrew authoritarian regime and made a shift to democracy,” Iranian Ambassador said, noting that over the past nearly three decades, the country has made considerable successes in science, culture and economy.    

            Dwelling on Iran’s foreign policy, Iranian Ambassador said that Iran maintains equal and good relations with all countries, except Israel. 

Touching upon Iran’s nuclear programs, Ajalluiyan underlined that Iran develops its nuclear programs under the limitations of international regulations.  He said that Iran is a full member of international community and has the right to develop civilian nuclear programs to meet its energy needs.

 “My country is member of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and fulfills all documents and obligations,” the diplomat said, noting that the agency has never reported any diversion in this respect.
