As part of his working trip to the southwest province of Khatlon, President Emomali Rahmon today visited his hometown – Danghara district.

While in Danghara, the head of state inaugurated the Medical College in Korez jamoat, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The construction of the college was reportedly financed by local entrepreneur Farrukh Samizoda. 

This educational institution accommodates 720 students in one shift and they study four specialties: nursing;  pharmacy; obstetrics; and dentistry.  

Rahmon also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a dormitory for 320 students in Korez jamoat.
