DUSHANBE, February 7, Asia-Plus – 129 traffic accidents have been reported in Tajikistan since January 1, Habibullo Munavvarov, a spokesman for the Tajik traffic police directorate, said. 

According to him, 31 persons have been killed and 160 others have been injured in those 129 accidents.  

Munavvarov said that one of the last fatal traffic accidents was reported in the Vahdat district yesterday.   Opel driven by Saidmurtazo Rasulov ran into a seven-year-old boy Khudopanoh Faqirov near the village of Surkhteppa.  The boy sustained serious wounds and died on the way to the hospital.  

According to the traffic police directorate, 31 traffic accidents were reported in the republic last week.  Seven persons were killed and 45 others were injured in last week’s accidents.
