Germany provided Tajikistan with 100,800 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine as part of the World Health Organization's Global Equitable Access to Vaccines (COVAX).

Vaccines were delivered to Dushanbe on the evening of September 9 within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany, reported by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The official ceremony for the transfer of the vaccine took place on September 10 at the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis.

Currently, the country uses vaccines "CoronaVac" produced by SinoVac, AstraZeneca supplied by Sweden, Russian "Sputnik V" and American Moderna.

The vaccine is provided to the citizens of the country free of charge.
