The Sverdlovsk transport prosecutor's office sent to court a criminal case against a 53-year-old citizen of Tajikistan on charges of trying to sell drugs. This was reported by the press service of the court in its Telegram channel.

«She is accused of attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs via the Internet by prior agreement with a group of people», – the message says.

According to the investigation, the accused, together with an unidentified person, the criminal case against whom was separated into a separate proceeding, transported more than 300 grams of heroin in a bag in June 2022 on a Moscow-Vladivostok passenger train.

«She planned to distribute drugs via the Internet to drug addicts in Novosibirsk. She was unable to complete the case, as she was detained on the train by the transport police as part of the operational-search activities at the Shalya station of the Sverdlovsk Railway. The substance was seized», – the message says.

A woman faces 10 to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million rubles for attempting to sell drugs on a large scale as punishment under the fourth article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
