The delegation of Tajikistan will take part in the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”, the press service of the Tojikfilm concern reported.

The festival will be held from 13 to 18 September. Within the framework of the festival, several events in the field of cinema will be held, including the Days of Cinema of Tajikistan.

According to the plan, within the framework of the days, the script for a joint feature historical film about the friendship of the Tajik and Uzbek peoples “Shining Stars: Jami and Navoi” will be presented.

The development and concept of a film about friendship in the image of Mavlono Abdurakhmoni Jomi and Mir Alisher Navoi was proposed by the presidents of the two countries Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev last June during the official visit of the head of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan.
