President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon today met with Chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova.

Issues of cooperation in various fields were discussed at the meeting, including the issues of intensifying the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the adoption of the Action Plan for economic cooperation until 2025, the press service of the head of state reports.

Today the Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali also received Sahiba Gafarova.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian and military-technical spheres.

As part of the development of cooperation between the capitals, the parties discussed the erection of monuments to Nizami Ganjavi in Dushanbe and Abuabdullo Rudaki in Baku, the press service of the mayor's office reported.

Details about the construction of the monuments are not reported.
