The US State Department urges Dushanbe and Bishkek to respect ceasefire on border. This is stated in a statement by US State Department spokesman Ned Price.

«We are concerned about reports of clashes on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border. The lives of civilians are at stake, and we express sympathy for the victims. We call on both sides to respect the ceasefire and redouble efforts to restore calm through diplomacy», – he wrote on his Twitter page on September 17.
