Today at the Dushanbe airport we met MMA fighter Nurullo Aliyev, who was the first of the Tajiks to make it to the UFC.
He expressed gratitude to all Tajiks:
«Thanks for support. I wanted to show the whole world that there is such a country as Tajikistan. I had a strong desire to become the first fighter in Tajikistan who would glorify the country. There was not an ounce of doubt in my soul that I would win this fight».
Before Aliyev's departure to his homeland, UFC head Dana White spoke about his surprise at this Tajik fighter:
«I see his charge and most likely he will fight in the near future. Yes, he is an amazing fighter. Basically, he surprised me».
