Tajik, Kyrgyz foreign ministers hold phone talks to discuss cooperation issues

On Saturday January 28, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin held phone talks with his counterpart Jeenbek Kulubayev, according to the Tajik MFA information department.     

In the course of the talks that were held at the request of the Kyrgyz side, the two reportedly discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.  

Muhriddin and Kulubayev also discussed preparations for events at high and higher levels scheduled for this year, 

They also exchanged views on a number of regional issues being of mutual interest. 

The conversation was reportedly held in a constructive atmosphere.  

It is to be noted that last year was a rather difficult period in relations between the two countries.
