In the framework of personnel staff changes introduced in early February this year, Colonel Saidakhtam Hotamzoda was appointed to head the Interior Ministry Organized Crime Control Directorate, replacing Major-General Shodi Hafizzofa. 

The Interior Ministry’s official website says Colonel Hotamzoda has gone from detective officer to chief of the Interior Ministry directorate.

According to information posted on the Interior Ministry website, prior to being appointed to head the Interior Ministry Organized Crime Control Directorate, Hotamzoda served as Head of the Extremism Prevention Center at the Interior Ministry Organized Crime Control Directorate.

Before that, he served as Deputy Head of the Extremism Prevention Center at the Interior Ministry Organized Crime Control Directorate.

The Interior Ministry’s website says Saidakhtam Hotamzoda has served in the internal affairs bodies since August 2001.  He reportedly graduated from the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2005.       

Over the years, Hotamzoda had served in the following positions: head of the police department in Shahriston district of Sughd province; head of the regional organized crime control department in a group of districts of Hisor Valley; head of the unit for particularly important cases at the criminal investigation department of the Dushanbe police directorate.      

Saidakhtam Hotamzoda was born in Tajikistan on November 11, 1983.   

The marital status of Saidakhtam Hotamzoda is not reported.
