“Thus, during the whole last year 189 cases of the disease were registered in Tajikistan, while over three months of this year alone, 38 HIV-infected have been reported in the republic, and such a high rates of new HIV infection in the country evoke concern,” Mr. Mirzoyev said.

at present each district in the republic has opportunities to make tests for HIV/AIDS.  “But passing test for HIV/AIDS is a voluntary action and therefore many HIV-infected people remained undiagnosed,” the

is much higher than official data shows.  According to official figures, there are 544 HIV-sufferers in the country.
