Young Tajik Greco-Roman wrestler (weight 67 kg) Sunnat Abdullayev will not be able to compete at the World Cup in Spain.

“The fact is that a wrestler from Tajikistan, who was going to participate in the world Championship among athletes under 20, could not fly to the competition,” – the Wrestling Federation of the republic reports, “The athlete was not allowed to fly to Spain from Turkey, he has been at the Turkish airport for two days”.

According to the source, the reason was “the lack of a team sponsor and problems with the return flight”.

What does it mean is not specified in the publication.

The Wrestling Federation informs that for now Abdulloev “has no right to leave Turkey”.

“We are dealing with this issue. It should be said that this is not the first time such a problem has arisen: last year, Sunnat Abdulloev was unable to go to the World Cup in Italy due to visa problems,” – the organization told “Asia Plus”.

The World Cup takes place from September 2 to 8 in Pontevedra, Spain.
