A total of 28 households in the village of Miraziyon in Tojikobod district (Rasht Valley) have been affected due to a mudslide.

The Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan says the mudslide occurred on November 8 after heavy rains led to the breach of a recently formed glacial lake.

The mudslide completely destroyed two residential houses, partially damaged two more, and also caused partial damage to 12 auxiliary structures and 12 household plots.

Additionally, 750 meters of water pipeline, six inter-village bridges, and 214 small and 22 large livestock animals were impacted.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, according to the source.

A working group from the Emergencies Committee has been established to assess the actual damage caused by the mudslide to the village.
