A polypropylene bag production plant introduced into operation in FEZ Sughd in northern Tajikistan

On April 1, President Emomali Rahmon participated in an officially ceremony of introducing a polypropylene (PP) bag production plant into operation in the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ Sughd), according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The plant was built by Aziapolitex Limited Liability Company (LLC), managed by local entrepreneurs Miraziz Usmonov and Ilhomjon Bobojonov.

The plant reportedly created 300 new jobs for local residents and it runs three shifts a day.

Five modern technological lines delivered from China and Turkiye are assembled and installed at the enterprise producing large-sized polypropylene bags with a capacity of 500 kilograms to 3 tons.

The entire list of manufactured products reportedly meets international standards in terms of appearance and quality.

The facility is built on an area of 1 hectare.  The construction of this enterprise began in 2018 and was completed with a high level of quality this year.

The Tajik president’s official website says polypropylene bags manufactured by this facility are of high quality and are intended for coal, cement, grain and other types of agricultural products.

Polypropylene bags are made from the synthetic plastic polymer polypropylene, used in bags because it is strong, flexible, and reusable.  They lend themselves to a wide variety of uses, both for consumers and businesses alike.

It is to be noted that manufacturing PP fiber from polypropylene is reportedly a process with low impact on the environment—no toxic waste, no toxic emissions, no fluorocarbons and no halogens.
