The state institution "Directorate for the Construction of Government Buildings" of President’s Executive Office will receive additional 201 million somonis (about US$19 million) from the surplus of the republican budget revenues for 2025 and the Stabilization Fund for Economic Development.
This is stated in the relevant government decrees published on the Ministry of Justice's legal information portal.
In particular, 93 million somonis, allocated from the surplus of the republican budget revenues, will be directed to the following projects:
- Construction of the Khatlon State Medical University in Danghara District (30 million somonis);
- Construction of a hotel in the center of Danghara District (15 million somonis);
- Construction of Tajikistan’s Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (17 million somonis);
- Construction of an administrative building for the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan (15 million somonis);
- Construction of an administrative building for the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan (2 million somonis);
- Construction of a new building for the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan (14 million somonis).
Additional 108 million somonis, provided from the Stabilization Fund for Economic Development, will be allocated to finance the construction of the following facilities:
- Construction of the National Theatre of Tajikistan in Dushanbe (30 million somonis);
- Reconstruction of the government complex buildings – a universal conference hall (45 million somonis);
- Construction of an administrative building for the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan (13 million somonis);
- Construction of a national theatre in Danghara District (20 million somonis).
The contributions to the Stabilization Fund for Economic Development are funded by the surplus of the revenue section of the republican and local budgets. The 2025 national budget specifies that 25% of such funds are directed to the Fund.
