DUSHANBE, April 28, Asia-Plus – Two persons were killed and three others were injured Friday as a heavy truck “MAZ-555” went into oncoming traffic on the highway from Dushanbe to Hissor, according to information from Tajik traffic police.

The accident took place in the Hissor district today morning.  The traffic police source says the heavy truck “MAZ-55” went into oncoming traffic and collided with a motor car “Hovel” (phonetically spelled).    The “Hovel” driver and one of his passengers died on the spot and three other passengers received various wounds and were taken to the central district hospital.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.

On April 27, three traffic accidents were reported in the country.  One person was killed and at least five others were injured in those accidents.
